About This Role:

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and versatile software engineer to join our Software Systems Engineering team supporting Arden Hills Operations.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

* Working in a cross functional team to provide data and analytic solutions for our Arden Hills Operations team. Cross functional teams are typically, business user, business analyst, technical peers within the team and across BSC, and global IT.
* Create various ETL jobs to extract required data in a timely fashion for data visualization and analytics.
* Understand data structure and content, write SQL queries and stored procedures to extract data sets.
* Documents software development by writing technical documents and reports.
* Tracks software development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.
* Using methods determined by approved procedures and standards.
* Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and tests software applications using Object-Oriented Analysis and Design methodology.
* Placing strong emphasis on customer focus by providing timely support of production issues.
* Should have strong communication skills to gather user requirements, write user stories and work with Business SMEs independently.

What Were Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications

* 2-5 Years of relevant work experience with BS
* 1-3 Years of relevant work experience with MS
* Experience creating and maintaining ETL jobs using SSIS, informatica or Alteryx
* Experience creating SQL queries, and stored procedures in SQL Server, Oracle and Big data (Impala)
* Experience providing solutions using data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI, SSRS, SAP Business Objects etc.
* Experience in Object-Oriented programming, Python and R
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate user requirements into technical implementation
* Understanding of SAP business warehouse and Bex queries

Preferred Qualifications

* Familiarity of the needs and terminology of a business user within operations (scrap, cycle time, inventory, OEE, etc.)
* Experience with industry 4.0 technology trends
* Developing software within the medical device industry (or comparable highly regulated environment)
* Ignition by Inductive Automation or other SCADA development experience
* Experience with data analytics/predictive analytics
* Python and/or Java development experience
