Open Source and Economic Threat Analyst, Mid

As a strategy consultant on our team, youll engage with clients at the senior level to help them understand their organization and crystallize their goals. Youll need to ask the right questions to draw out your clients objectives and vision. Your client will look to you to show them their organization from the outside. From unrealized potential to systemic challenges, youll provide your client with a holistic view of their organization, as well as the multiple paths they can take to modernize. As the strategy expert, youll identify and anticipate your clients needs as you create their way forward. Youll prepare and conduct business analyses and study needs assessments, requirements analysis or definition, and cost or benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions, and initiatives. Youll prepare forecasts and analyze trends, reporting regulations and business conditions. Youll develop and analyze metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports, and recommendations related to management, organizational structure, policies and procedures, and business systems. You Have:

-2+ years of experience with conducting competitive intelligence research, open source research, social media analysis, or market research
-Knowledge of Internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, and Internet sources, such as social media, social networking tools, and commercial- and industry-based databases
-Ability to ramp up on a range of topics, including organizational change, cybersecurity, geopolitical dynamics, and financial crime
-Ability to comprehend complex requirements and questions about work topics and find information on the Internet that answers those questions
-Ability to produce deliverables in a short time frame using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with researching in a foreign language on international-focused Web sites
-Experience with technology scouting, supply chain risk assessments, or economic threat intelligence
-Experience with strategy consulting or change management consulting for federal government clients

-Knowledge of financial, economic, or investment intelligence
-Ability to leverage data manipulation, analysis, and visualization software tools to prototype solutions addressing challenging client questions rapidly

-Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Linguistics, Economics, Library Studies, Cultural Studies, Regional Studies, or research-related fields preferred
