Reports to and Location:

The Procurement Buyer will report to the VP, Procurement in our Norwalk office.

Job Overview:

This a great development role for someone who wants to become a world-class procurement professional and leader. The Procurement Buyer is key in executing important projects across varied categories. The role applies the science of the procurement process to drive value into the company. You will also support key procurement projects as needed (internal facts, external market insights), and manage the productivity process and reporting. Come join our team!

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Provides relevant insights/ analytics and reports to the global VP to support reporting and management requests.
* Will lead 2-3 projects in the areas of Indirect spend.
* Manage the productivity tools, process and reporting.
* Own the linkage of external market insight sources to build vital reports to support the sourcing process.
* Conduct bid events, prepare bid analysis and provide sourcing recommendations to Strategic Sourcing Manager(s).



Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in a business-related field. MBA highly desired.
* 2-3 years work experience in the area of finance, data analytics, or procurement/supply chain.
* Knowledge of developing a business case.
* The ability to influence without authority, supporting people to help drive project success.
* Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications including as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Google Suite.
