Job Description - Architect
Information Leadership & Strategic
Conducts business information flow studies across multiple Business domains Merchant Services, Credit, Payments, Deposits, Liquidity, ForEx, Sales & Client. Drives complex and comprehensive business architectures and relates those structures to the technology data environment. Participates / Lead in developing information Solutions and Strategies; provides thought leadership to define and drive information strategies and frameworks (Information/Data - modeling, integration, business intelligence, Data Science, governance, security, management). Lead work groups in building information services for key Mandates, Product and Operational use cases. Represent the organization on Governance, Project Management and Key forums.

Adoption Oversight/Governance
Provides critical alignment between Information Strategy and Delivery. Ensure critical alignment to Enterprise data standards EDM, Records Retention, Information Security and CBDM.

Hands on 7-12 years of prior development/Analysis hands on experience of capabilities and direction of technology Big data Management, MDM solutions, relational / columnar / time series databases, BI Platforms, Analytics, ETL and Reporting. Experience with normalized and dimensional data modeling and bi-temporal data models. Experience in data warehouses, analytics, decision support reporting, data sourcing, data delivery, and data governance. Extensive experience with Data warehousing tools such as Hadoop, Exadata, Teradata, Collibra, C3 and Visualization Products such as Tableau, Unreal etc.

Must be Collaborative, deadline oriented and delivery capable, able to identify risks and quickly resolve issues, influence outcomes multiple organizations, platforms and stakeholders. Able to think abstractly and reduce complex issues to simplified, actionable solutions. Be able to influence and work at all levels of engagement - from stakeholder influence and Agile methodology deliverables. Must have Global Banking experience and worked across teams in different continents. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be effective in managing conflicts. 10 -12 years defining/establishing large, complex corporate systems

Demonstrated ability to effectively implement large-scale solutions incorporating the following capabilities: Broad based technology understanding; Strong business partnership; develop trusted advisor relationships; Financial services experience with understanding of Wholesale Banking and information management, banking and technology trends; experience in Payments, Wholesale Credit, Channel and Treasury services preferred. Entrepreneurial mind-set with strong financial awareness and personal integrity.
TO BE USED ONLY IN ORGANIZATIONS DELIVERING SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS: Responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution architecture which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices. Describes the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determines the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features. Ensures the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions. Works across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision and evolves it to an emerging backlog. Consults the business to clearly understand the business problems and technology to understand the technology challenges of the solution and finds creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs. Leads rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements; ensures architecture is flexible and modular and designed to adapt easily. Utilizes the defined best practices, templates and documentation to create architectural designs; suggests improvements to best practices and templates through practical knowledge. Works with Product Manager/Owner to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features. Clarifies the architecture for the development teams to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments. Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (e.g. security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability). Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions. Individual contributor.
