Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Dealership Accounting Inventory Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Inventory Department. This includes posting all new and used inventory to the general ledger, processing intercompany transactions, reconciling intercompany balances and posting auction sales.
Essential Requirements
* An understanding of general accounting principals
* A general understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Experience in automotive accounting preferred
* A good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
* Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug test/background screen)
Essential Responsibilities
* Ensure all inventory is posted to the general ledger timely and within company guidelines
* Ensure all auction sales are posted to the general ledger timely and within company guidelines
* Review intercompany balance reconciliations monthly and ensure they are in balance
* Ensure compliance with all audit key controls
* Monitor performance metrics for the inventory team
* Review exception reports daily and ensure all correcting entries are posted
* Communicate and resolve any and all issues with Accounting Manager
* Hire, train and mentor the inventory team department associates
* Perform inventory associate reviews and objective setting
* Hold routine department meetings
* Handle and resolve HR issues
* Implement continuous process improvement to increase productivity and reduce errors
* Other duties as assigned
