Pharmacy Proposal Development Consultant (PBM)

The Pharmacy Proposal Develop Consultant is responsible for developing pharmacy responses for complex RFPs/RFIs and other requests received by the Medicaid/ GBD business development team.

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts initial review of RFPs/RFIs and coordinates distribution of RFPs/RFIs and proposal questions to appropriate company experts.
- Organizes and/or participates in strategy meetings to determine the strategy and sales emphasis of each proposal.
- Writes, edits, and proofreads final deliverables.
- Researches and tracks down answers to RFP/RFI issues.
- Obtains and develops supporting materials and documentation.
- Participates on team projects to complete Medicaid/Government Business Division proposals.
- Independently manages projects to completion including, but not limited to: engages in ongoing communications with appropriate business development, health plan, and pharmacy personnel; researches and gathers information internally and externally; conducts necessary follow up and timely completion of action items.
- Conducts Pipeline opportunity reporting.
- Oversees maintenance of template library responses and develops best-in-class templates to better manage proposal volume and consistent messaging.
- Assists with maintaining the pharmacy RFP Development SharePoint site.

Work location: Any Anthem office or IngenioRx hub

Qualifications

Requires a BA/BS degree; 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

- Knowledge of health/managed care insurance preferred.
- Pharmacy experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a focus on growth and winning the bid.
- Help the Pharmacy team to sell our story and grow our business by incorporating strategic messaging in proposal
responses that include the value of Rx carve-in; the value of the Medical/Rx integrated model of care, etc. with a focus on existing and new Medicaid business growth.
- Understand the pharmacy programs and will be able to leverage the program content as the foundation to customize
Anthem-specific differentiated value.
