The Opportunity

The Fulfillment Sr Supervisor -- Ops Process over Tax in our Jacksonville Center is responsible for leading the Personal Property Tax and Sales and Use Tax teams supporting the CCG Fulfillment servicing organization. Areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to tax management, customer service, vendor relationship management, Adhoc reporting, accounting, monetary controls, project management, audit, processing, talent acquisition, licensing and regulatory compliance. In addition, the Sr Supervisor is responsible for the continual development of process improvements. Provides analysis into business metrics to help improve business capabilities or results. Recommends potential solutions or improvements to business leaders based on data analysis. Works collaboratively with the rest of the servicing organization and Ally business units to fulfill consumer needs and ensure business objectives and all compliance requirements are met. Lead to succeed vs. managing to avoid failure.

The Work Itself

* Manage, coach and develop team of up to 10 employees.
* Provides analysis into business metrics to help improve business capabilities or results.
* Recommends potential solutions or improvements to business leaders based on data analysis.
* Analyze present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation
* Establish processes to anticipate customer needs. Work collaboratively with the rest of the servicing organization and Ally business units to fulfill consumer needs and ensure corporate objectives and all compliance requirements are met (e.g., OPEX, timeliness metrics, accuracy metrics, customer satisfaction metrics, cross-sell metrics, employee development, etc.)
* Drive the Ally Servicing strategic imperatives by maintaining regular communications with employees or vendor partners for the purpose of: Providing clear line of sight to business unit targets and results; Clarifying roles and purpose; Mentoring employees to improve result. Enable and Support Processes, Information and Reporting related to Enterprise.
* Lead project management activities, program development efforts, process enhancement initiatives, and compliance management efforts intended to facilitate achievement of objectives and cross functional CCG support as needed.
* Bring compliance issues and proposed solutions to the attention of manager or project leader. Support major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams. Projects may drive executive reporting and process optimization.
* Provide financial controls oversight for tax payment operations.
* Manage vendor relationship, communication and oversight. Communicate liaison between the vendor, system support teams and leadership. Analyze, maintain and improve Third Party data for metric and governance reporting and quality assurance.
* Elevates risk issues to management supports monitoring and mitigation of risk elements by first line of defense.
* Develop or maintain daily, weekly, monthly and AdHoc reporting and ensure the information is readily accessible to leadership.
* Identify operating/performance trends and outliers via interpretation of business intelligence data and quantitative analysis.
* Assist with development and implementation of appropriate metrics/reporting that drive business results and adoption of best practices.
* Manage talent acquisition and third-party supplier relationships for new hires, Responsible for sourcing, hiring, onboarding all new hires and contractors.

The Skills You Bring

* 5+ years' relevant experience in financial services, preferably knowledgeable in Personal Property and Sales Use tax
* Ability to work in teams, adapt to change, troubleshoot, analyze issues and determine root cause, are critical skills
* The ideal candidate will possess initiative, flexibility in daily responsibilities and working hours, strong communication and willingness to adapt to meet the needs of the risk organization. Working knowledge of risk management components (e.g., policy/procedures, governance, reporting, risk control self-assessments, issue management) in a regulated environment
* Must be self-motivated, willing to take on initiative, and capable of working independently
* Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with multiple levels of management
* Strong analytical, documentation, project management and organization skills including attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to multi-task, handle competing priorities and follow through on commitments
