HollyFrontier Companies located in Artesia, NM is seeking a 1 Instrument Craftsman.

This position is not eligible for International Relocation Program benefits

POSITION: 1 Instrument Craftsman (The Company reserves the right to hire a 2 in the event that no 1 is available)

HOURS OF WORK: 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Overtime as well as weekend on-call rotation is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Candidates must have a strong background in instrument maintenance and troubleshooting along with construction gained either through work experience or technical school training. Experienced with the maintenance of distributive control systems, analyzers, and PLC expertise is helpful. Must have a strong background in understanding of refinery instrumentation and troubleshooting of P & I diagrams, loop sheets, control valves, recorders, controllers, and process control valves.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience is required.

BACKGROUND REQUIREMEMTS: Must complete a comprehensive written pre-employment examination. A comprehensive physical examination must be satisfactorily completed. A DRUG SCREEN IS PART OF THE PHYSICAL.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual dexterity requirements include climbing to heights exceeding 100, working in close confined spaces, and wearing of respiratory protective equipment.

MENTAL CAPABILITIES: Ability to analyze and solve problems quickly and efficiently, ability to multitask and cope with several problems or projects at the same time. Make decision and take responsibility.

REMUNERATION: $43.92/hr for a 1 position and $41.78/hr for a 2 position. A 180-day probationary period applies. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must reside within 30 minutes of the Artesia Plant and be able to be contacted by telephone.
