Job Summary:

The Sales Development Manager (SDM) works directly with customers, channel partners and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to advance opportunities through the sales process workflow, deploys coaching and training (sales methodology/skills, technical, product) to RSMs, and plays the role of specialist for internal as well as external customer facing situations.

The SDM plays a key role in commercial driven positioning, new product launches, product innovation collaboration with R&D and the sharing of knowledge across the community of front-line sellers.

You'll have the ability to work closely internally with cross functional teams to help advance opportunities, while also working directly with key customers in this high impact, highly technical position. The key vertical this role will support is industrial areas such as pulp and paper, food and beverage, mining, etc. and will have a focus on our magnetic flow meter product offerings.

We're looking for the mag flow expert to join our team in this true player/coach position!

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

* Recognized as an industry specialist in the industrial vertical
* Build positive relationships with Regional Managers to develop target accounts and growth playbooks that align with McCrometers value proposition
* Key account ownership
* Qualify, advance, negotiate and close sophisticated sales opportunities, including a focus on technical and economic feasibility and influence design specs to include McCrometer solutions.
* Primary leadership role in the deployment of sales productivity programs and sales tools. Jointly shares sales productivity KPIs including close-won and funnel additions.
* Training and on-boarding of new RSMs to quickly adapt new associates.
* Act as the new product specialist who works closely with new product commercialization teams to ensure rapid deployment of technical and commercial content to the field.
* Coordinating and leading lunch and learns with end-users, system integrators and E&C firms
* Performs channel partner management and funnel management duties as needed
* Assist in CRM inputs and updates

Education and Experience:

* BA, BS or MS degree in a technical subject area required
* 5+ years experience in technical customer facing roles i.e. field applications, service or sales
* Knowledge of Industrial markets and EPC influencing
* Formal sales training with experience value selling and leading value sellers
* Exposure to complex sales processes or large account selling
* Experience in the flow meter industry is a must
