3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday 11PM - 7AM
Position Overview
This utility position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosis of all machinery and equipment within the plant. It is also responsible for providing manufacturing technical support to department engineers and designers to optimize process efficiency and will provide accurate paperwork and record keeping. Must have the ability to use measuring and test equipment as required, follow all company rules and policies as well as OSHA/EPA regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform electrical repairs & installs.
* Recommend and implement maintenance improvements to increase equipment reliability.
* Follow specifications for maintenance activities from engineering and equipment manufacturers.
* Work with production, as appropriate, to ensure production equipment readiness and performance.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery to minimize production loss.
* Estimate time and materials needed to perform maintenance tasks.
* Maintain records and reports of service/work performed inside MP2 management system.
* Concise reporting of production issues to management.
* Produce prototypes as assigned/required.
* Develop standardized set-ups, speeds, and feed rates. Back-up for quality control function within the department.
* Hands-on implementation of OFIs as assigned. Prepare and maintain records as required.
* Responsibility and adherence of RCRA requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum of five (5) years related work experience at Journeyman level.
* High school diploma or G.E.D.
* Able to read and understand written instructions. Computer literate.
* Must be accurate with both calipers and micrometer. Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Knowledgeable of Hazardous Waste handling.
* Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired.
* Experience working with steel microfibers is desired.
* Understanding of single and 3 phase industrial electricity and power distribution. Knowledge of AC and DC drives as well.
* Ability to size and run conduit.
* Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance concepts.
* Familiar with HVAC operations and components.
* Understanding of basic machine operation and design principles.
* Ability to plan the fabrication, installation and repairs of machinery, equipment, and building components/systems.
* Work under minimum supervision.
