AECOM is seeking a Project Controls Manager to be based in our Arlington, VA location. AECOM is proud to support many key clients in the Transportation field. This position seeks to support one of our clients by working directly with them at their location and function as a key member of several project teams. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating your workload, client and project team relations, identifying opportunities to elevate the client's understanding and operations and deliver outstanding results for their benefit

Job Description:

* Provides objective analysis and sound judgement with application of principles and techniques to evaluate and report project performance from concept study to construction & startup including practical assessment of schedule completion and expected final cost.

* Competencies include setup of work breakdown structure, establishing levels of control and detail, planning and scheduling, cost analysis and forecasting, progress measurement, earned value performance, risk analysis and change control.

* You will be responsible for managing, controlling, forecasting and reporting cost and schedule performance data for projects throughout a client's portfolio of projects.

* Services include review of baseline and progress schedules, time impact analysis, recommending negotiation strategies, identifying opportunities for improving performance, analyzing EVM data, and supporting any other needs as may be identified by our client(s).

Minimum Requirements

* BA/BS in Construction management, Architecture or Civil + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

* Possesses proven knowledge of transportation and related scopes of work and change management

* Skilled in the development of commercial strategies and tactics

* Requires a demonstrated ability to effectively lead the project controls function on one or more large and/or complex projects simultaneously and consistently

* Ability to develop, analyze, and critique claims from initial event through conclusion

* Exceptionally skilled in the development, creation, review, and analysis of schedules in either Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project

* Possesses and has demonstrated an expert understanding of schedule, critical path analysis, resource loading, and leveling

* Requires a demonstrated ability to effectively perform pre-con and construction cost estimates.

* Must be experienced in producing cost estimates in UNIFORMAT and CSI formats.

* Must possess excellent verbal skills in one-on-one, small group, and large group forums

* Candidate must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively in writing, be able to develop and support technical white papers and defend/advocate for its contents as may be necessary
