Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time/ Days Monday - Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Demonstrates through behavior AdventHealths core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork
* Call Performance: Maintains established performance levels. Is available to take scheduling calls from both patients and physician offices at all times while also actively scheduling patients through faxed requisitions received in the department.
* Scheduling Performance: Creates patient accounts, schedules appointments and pre-registers patients striving to minimize patient and physician inconvenience through accurate and comprehensive collection of information required for scheduling, pre-registration, pre-certification (where possible) of ancillary procedures (and other study types if applicable).
* Pre-Access Performance: Works closely with the Outpatient Care Coordinator and Patient Financial Services to ensure that all required information is collected in a timely fashion to ensure efficient patient imaging studies are performed and appropriately documented for accurate billing.
* Accuracy: Enters accurate information in Scheduling and Registration systems with minimal errors. Validates updates and/or corrects errors or mistakes found in system to expedite patient care. Carefully and courteously handles customer interaction in a way that preserves customer confidence in AdventHealth and its ancillary services. Reports on errors and mistakes found in system to promote education, coaching and training opportunities of others where appropriate.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
* Effective written and oral communication skills
* Intermediate computer skills
* Analytical skills to foresee process roadblocks
* Detailed focus on accuracy and completeness of examination documentation requirements
Preferred:
* Knowledge of Medical and imaging terminology, modality usage
* College education or coursework in medical terminology and/or coding
* Understanding of Health Insurance authorization processes
Job Summary:
Schedules resources for Imaging exams and procedures to maximize patient convenience and efficiency of resource utilization. Proficiently schedules and pre-registers patients for tests in Imaging Services, Diagnostics, Pain Medicine, Sports Medicine, and/or Rehab, across campuses, using a computerized scheduling system. Provides special instructions for procedures and directions to facilities and departments. Works with Patient Financial Services to complete or verify accurate completion of numerous pre-visit tasks. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful of all.
