Work Hours/Shift:
Per Diem/Variable
You Will Be Responsible for:
* Assists the pharmacist in preparation of medication orders and accurately prepares medications for patients/departments/Pyxis.
* Maintains the work area in an orderly, clean, well-stocked condition to ensure efficient, organized departmental workflow.
* Accurately processes charging and crediting of patients and departments.
* Answers telephone and assists customers at the door/window in an appropriate, courteous, efficient, timely and effective manner.
* Supports practice in decentralized areas.
Qualifications
What you will need:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license
* Preferred one year of contemporary hospital experience
Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician I prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. The Pharmacy Technician I will provide safe and accurate medication services and will support all those involved in direct patient care.
