Job Description

The Sales Development Manager (SDM) is a vital part of the Strategic Account Team. Their core responsibility is to partner with the Strategic Account Sales Directors to support our largest national customers. The SDM should be comfortable working with key stakeholders throughout the organization and able to manage numerous projects at once. The SDM should also be able to identify and maximize opportunities with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Responsible for strategic account project management, including project timelines, communication, reporting and analysis
* Define outcomes and specific business results for Strategic Customers assigned, in partnership with Strategic Account Managers
* Partner with Sales Directors to ensure accounts are achieving growth, profitability and sales target goals
* Create cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders from various teams within our organization to ensure projects are completed
* Act as a liaison between customer, field-based sales team and Customer Support Center teams to build relationships and understand timelines
* Provide operational support for the Strategic Accounts Team includes Strategic Account SVP, VPs, Directors and Managers
* Develop, document and deliver repeatable processes for the life-cycle management of strategic accounts including: program development, new program/modified program launch, maintenance and monitoring
* Manage and organize key information in a central repository for easy access by appropriate team members
* Organize and coordinate communications with the field and key stakeholders
* Analyze processes, make recommendations, and approve solutions to ensure that projects meet business needs and provide flexibility for future changes as business evolves
* Partner with Sales Directors for customer trade show planning and execution
* Partner with Marketing, Merchandising and Sales Teams to create customer-specific programs including marketing promotions and incentives
* Run promotional reporting, analyze data and communicate findings to sales team to ensure success
* Maintain and set up Strategic Account Programs

* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and general public
* Negotiating skills
* Travel approximately 10%

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree from an accredited 4 year school

3-5 years of project management experience

OR equivalent combination of education and experience
