What Administration contributes to Cardinal Health

Administration is responsible for performing a variety of administrative activities in support of functional areas or for specific projects

What is expected of you and others at this level

* Effectively applies knowledge of job, and company policies and procedures, basic concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform a variety of tasks

* Works on projects of limited scope and complexity

* Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems

* Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions

Accountabilities

Provide full scope of administrative support to an SVP and 4 VP level leaders. This individual will perform a variety of administrative duties involving frequent exercise of diplomacy, initiative, and tact in performance of their duties and support of executive staff.

* Manage leader calendars and all related planning and activities

* Maintain calendars, coordinate and arrange large and/or recurring meetings, luncheons, travel, etc., collaborating with other administrative assistants as needed

* Communicate with senior leadership team and other key business partners and vendors

* Coordinate travel, bookings, conferences, and other external and internal events

* Manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Maintain confidentiality of projects and work

* Create Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents and presentations utilizing data or input provided by staff

* Handle directed and routine external mail

* Screen incoming calls/inquiries and handle independently where possible

* Prepare and submit expense reports for executive staff members as requested

* Coordinate departmental staff meetings

* Provide clerical and filing support

* Other administrative support duties (i.e. functional support during key projects) as assigned

Qualifications

* High School diploma/GED equivalent required

* Bachelors degree, preferred, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

* 4-6 years of related professional experience

* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

* Self-directed; ability and willingness to problem-solve and apply creative solutions (example: calendar conflicts)

* Proficient verbal and written communications skills

* Work proactively, learn and adapt quickly, and enjoy working in a fast-paced and changing environment

* Ability to interface with employees at all organizational levels

* Ability to escalate issues when necessary

* Strong time management and prioritization skills; ability to effectively set expectations with internal customers regarding timing of activities

* Detail oriented and able to work with a high level of confidentiality
