Optum Care Medical Group serve the communities within Orange and southern Los Angeles counties. The combined medical group is composed of 15 practices with more than 90 physicians and mid - level providers. From pediatric and adolescent medicine, to adult and senior care, Optum Care Medical Group strive to provide a higher level of service through our unique, patient - driven model.

The Front Office Coordinator works in collaboration and in continuous partnership with OCMG to support and monitor the ongoing efforts to provide high quality care for patients. Serves as a representative to patients, utilizing professional customer service skills. Works closely with physicians, managers and office staff in coordinating patient care. Maintains the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

In addition to performing the full Front Office role, the Front Office Lead guides and facilitates all aspects of the Front Office. They will provide leadership and support to all members of the Front Office. Helps to ensure proper completion of front office duties and continuous patient flow. The Front Office Coordinator will perform the responsibilities listed below in support of smooth operations of the clinic and OptumCare mission and vision.

*Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. No nights, weekends or holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Responsible for front office operations and efficiency
* Staffing and scheduling of appropriate levels of coverage for scheduling needs
* Monitors all revenue cycles are procedures
* Respond appropriately and timely to patient concerns and/or needs
* Collaborates with the practice manager and/or supervisor to facilitate effective communication to team members
* Train, supervise and assist staff in a variety of workflows and processes

Required Qualifications:

* High school graduate or GED
* 1+ years of experience working in a medical office setting
* You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency in Practice Management System
* Knowledge of billing, coding and insurance processes
* Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook
