Distribution Center Utility Maintenance

Monday thru Thursday 5:00AM-3:05PM

(Subject to Overtime)

JOB SUMMARY

Performs basic preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and minor building maintenance to ensure safe and efficient building operations. Assists maintenance mechanic in routine troubleshooting and repairs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Performs basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs on various in-house systems to include conveyor, material handling equipment, tagging machines, storage equipment, vehicles etc. Assists in troubleshooting and lubricates, adjusts and replaces parts.
* Performs maintenance services in two or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting plastering, electrical, heating, etc. May perform basic maintenance duties such as minor construction, landscaping, cleaning, etc.
* Assists maintenance mechanics in major equipment repairs, electrical repairs and installations in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisitions new supplies and equipment as necessary.
* Perform special projects or duties as assigned.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocational training in basic preventative maintenance practices preferable. Six months to one year experience in a preventative maintenance capacity with demonstrated mechanical knowledge/aptitude. Willingness to work various shifts to meet business needs.

OTHER FACTORS

* Position requires manipulation of parts and the use of various tools and repair equipment. Body positioning such as climbing and crawling under equipment or apparatus to repair, assemble or disassemble equipment is necessary.
* Frequent exposure to lubricants, chemical vapors, aerosols, and other physical demands requiring certain levels of tolerance for working in adverse conditions (ex: noise, dust, heat, weather conditions) is necessary.
