Job Description
The MRP Controller professional understands and applies material management principles that enable them to develop solutions to a variety of problems. This person daily manages factory Demand / Supply in support of achieving MRP schedules that support customer requirements.
This person also is responsible for analyzing material availability in support of contract requirements, communicate factory priorities, identifying barriers and solutions to enable the factory to meet takt rate, and takes appropriate action to ensure program goals are achieved. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate activities between numerous groups and clearly communicate program material status. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate within an IPT environment. This individual will be accountable for: Inventory accuracy; Demand Health Metrics; Work with Stakeholders & Peers to develop and implement release strategy; and Mitigate Supply Risk. This individual will also be expected to promote keys values, facilitate problem resolution.
Required Skills:
* 2+ years of experience
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines
* Computer literate in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook/Skype
* Ability to multi task and work well under pressure
* Must be well organized, problem solver and innovative thinker
* Working knowledge of Material Requirement Planning and SAP
* An understanding of the application and concepts of Production and Planning Control fundamentals including MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing
* Must be a U S Citizen as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
* 2+ years of SAP / PRISM experience
* Experience with Tableau, Kinaxis, Business Warehouse
* Material planning and order execution experience
* Fundamental knowledge of government contracting requirements
* Program Management experience
Required Education:
* Must have a BS / BA from an accredited university with a major in Operations, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Desired Education:
* Masters degree or equivalent in Operations, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field
