In this position, you will provide software engineering support to projects under the Government Logistics Tools organization in support of the Patriot Missile Support Contract (PMSC). Under this effort you will be responsible for providing software engineering support utilizing Java. You will be responsible for assisting in tasks related to software design, development and implementation. The ideal candidate will provide development and maintenance support within a Java environment. You will analyze functional requirements and design specifications for the development and sustainment of applications within the Patriot Information Management System (PIMS) which provides visibility into the tasking and data related to the concept of Certified Round Data Management (CRDM) for the Patriot missile.
The successful candidate will be responsible for code development, test, and debugging new application modules or enhancements. Perform maintenance on existing software application modules. Write software modules in accordance to specifications. Work with the technical staff to understand software related problems and participate in their resolution. Resolve customer issues and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Prepare and participate in reviews of required documentation.
Required Skills:
Minimum 6+ years of related experience
Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS or similar relational database platform
Understanding of relational database design concepts
Java and associated software design concepts
Java using Spring framework, STRUTS framework and AJAX
Desired Skills:
Technical knowledge of Eclipse, JDeveloper, BIRT
Working knowledge of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) concepts
Required Education:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
