Main Purpose: The purpose of this role is to track intermodal freight as it moves across the railroad, set pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers, input carrier arrival/loaded/unloaded times to meet customer EDI requirements, and proactively notify account management of potential service failures. This role is critical to honor our stringent customer demands and deliver the highest level of service.

Scope: This is a weekends role. Your week will start on either Thursday or Friday and you'll work 5 days in a row from there. Effectively prioritize and track 75+ shipments per day in a manner that meets on-time pick up, delivery, maintain hours of service requirements, and accountable to key brokerage SOPS and EDI processes. Participate and support with track and trace for customers as required.

Accountabilities:

* Timely order entry and a sense of urgency regarding issue resolution
* Carrier compliance to track & trace check calls
* Carrier compliance to defined EDI processes
* Proactive shipment tracking and customer alerts for known anticipated service gaps
* Participate in on-call, after hours and weekend duties as determined based on business needs

Scope of Interactions:

* 50% External New and existing customers and asset-based carriers
* 50% Internal - Collaboration with business development, account management, and leadership team

Qualifications/Requirements

College Degree, or equivalent brokerage logistics experience required

* Must be able to work weekends - Schedule will be working 5 days in a row, starting on either Thursday or Friday
* Ability to effectively communicate with customers, truck drivers, and dispatchers in a professional and constructive manner
* Strong passion for customer service and logistics excellence
* Ability to learn and update the brokerage transportation management system
* Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with all carriers and customers
* Willing and able to assist with load coverage and account management duties
* Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-paced business start-up
* Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations
* Willingness to embrace change and all other assigned duties for the greater good of the team

Please note:

* The schedule for this position will be Thursday-Monday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
* The employee will initially go through a 1-3 month training period where they will work Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
