Requisition Summary

Provide Human Resources support to Kenworth Renton Managers and employees in a fast-paced environment where you will participate in continuous improvement on a daily basis. Be involved in all aspects of Human Resources including programs and projects related to Organizational and HR Effectiveness, Recruitment and Talent Management, Training and Development, and Engagement, Rewards and Retention.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

* Assist with full-cycle recruiting including phone screens, interview scheduling, conducting in-person interviews and reference checking.
* Conduct new employee orientations at the Kenworth Renton Division and participate in Group orientations at our corporate office in Bellevue.
* Administer employee benefits including, but not limited to, disability, leaves, health care and life insurance enrollment and changes, personal computer purchase requests and tuition reimbursement.
* Support and administer workplace absence programs including FMLA, Workers Compensation, and Disability programs.
* Maintain and input employee data into our HRIS (SAP).
* Assist employees with benefit related questions and issues.
* Monthly HR metrics reporting in: HR Scorecard, Attendance, Recruitment and Workforce report.
* Participate in special assignments; Six Sigma projects, continuous improvement activities, PACCAR-wide initiatives, and other projects
* Play an active role in promoting positive employee relations and engagement through safety and wellness programs, employee appreciation programs, and family-related events.
* Coordinate/Facilitate training programs and plant compliance schedules as assigned.
* Coordinate Service Anniversary Program.
* Flexible to work first or second shift as needed
* Other projects and duties as assigned including but not limited to, Sarbanes Oxley tracking, handling multiple phone lines, PACCAR World submissions, etc.

Qualifications & Skills

* Undergraduate degree in business, human resources, or other related field required.
* 4+ years of HR experience including interviewing skills, benefits coordination, and leave administration desired
* Working knowledge of employment laws and practices including FLSA, ADA, Workers Compensation, FMLA, HIPAA and Affirmative Action Plans.
* Strong PC skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Visio and SharePoint a plus. Experience with SAP a plus!
* Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
* Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and issues.
* Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
* Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Monday through Friday schedule, must be available on short notice to flex hours as needed for coverage.
* Regular attendance is required.
* Experience in a union environment a plus.
