WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nikes creation of the CaSA (Central and South America) Territory allows Nike to partner across Central and South America markets and utilize the expertise of local Distributor Partners to serve consumers in an intimate and localized way, while still bringing the power of the global Nike brand to these exceptionally important and unique markets.

As the CaSA HQ Margin Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to help create and execute the future of the role of the accounting function in the newly created CaSA Territory within the APLA Controlling team. Specifically, we need someone to be responsible for executing day-to-day accounting activities with a focus on the Order-to-Cash and Inventory & Supply Chain Controlling value stream activities. Inherent in this work, you will be developing an intimate understanding of the unique Distributor Partner offense to drive the creation of efficient and sustainable accounting processes.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Throughout the month, your primary focus will be accountability for Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Revenue & Costs of Sales accounts at CaSA HQ. During the Close window, you will focus on completing month-end journal entries, executing related internal controls, and supporting Finance Planning by investigating and story-telling forecast-actual variances. Outside of that window, your focus will shift towards crafting SOPs & Process Flows to set a foundation for knowledge retention, collaborating with Customer Finance & Trade Finance to resolve receivables & payables issues and other related duties. In addition, for each annual period, you'll be supporting Nike Global Trading Company & outside service providers for statutory filings & audits related to CaSA company codes.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Reporting to the CaSA Accounting Manager, this role is a critical finance partner for CaSA territory and APLA geography and will have interaction with all CaSA functions related to Margin and work closely with the CaSA Financial Planning team.

WHAT YOU BRING

* Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand!
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related function
* Proven operating knowledge of US GAAP
* Experience completing process flow documentation strongly preferred
* Experience with ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
