Position Summary:
Supports the Quality department with a variety of duties including; chart abstraction of Core Measures, monitors electronic measures (eCQM), audits, regulatory readiness, Ongoing Physician Performance Reviews/Focused Physician Performance Reviews, not to exclude other performance improvement activities. Collaborates with staff / Physicians to develop action plans and provide education on quality / Patient Safety initiatives to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities:
* Routinely abstracts core measures data in Comet (if assigned)
* Reports data as appropriate to hospital personnel
* Monitors eCQM measures sent to the national data warehouse
* Develops action plans for improvement based on data analysis
* Educates as appropriate to both hospital staff and physicians on core measure compliance
* Assists in monitoring QNet Exchange (Government Data Storehouse)
* Assists in Tracer Activities and survey readiness
* Assists audits and other performance improvement activities for the hospital

Qualifications
Education/Skills
RN, Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
Experience
Hospital core measure abstraction required
Quality improvement activities in hospital preferred
Previous experience in HCA preferred
Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications
Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted; Texas State RN license required 30 days after hire
CPHQ or other quality / patient safety certification preferred
