The Naval Enterprise Service Desk (NESD) program is looking for Business Analyst to support the implementation of a cognitive AI platform integrated with a COTS ITSM solution. The Navy is consolidating Tier 1 IT service desks and moving from a human-centric SME business model to a knowledge-based solution. As the client's solution provider, GDIT is deploying leading edge technology to support the Navy's business model.
GDIT is recruiting Business Analysts to help translate the Government Stakeholders' business requirements into technical requirements that will be used to develop cognitive use case solutions in our Service Desk tools, IPSoft Amelia and BMC Remedy/Helix.
As the BA, you will work collaboratively with an agile team of product owners, system users, and developers to document and translate requirements to be achieved by the technology deployed in the cloud environment. Although experience with AI platforms is desired, GDIT recognizes the technology is relatively new. If you have analysis experience and a genuine interest in learning this technology, we'd like to speak with you. This is a client-facing facing position; therefore, strong interpersonal skills are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Document business processes and execute system function analysis.
* Interact and collaborate with Government stakeholders, system users, and application development experts for design recommendations and documentation
* Coordinate with business and technology teams
* Work with developers and engineers to convert functional requirements to technical scripts
* Interface with an agile team consisting of BMC Remedy/Helix and Cisco UCCE developers to design integrated solutions
* Update work effort within Jira and Confluence
* Participate in typical agile scrum meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint close-out, and backlog grooming sessions
* Review the engineers' solution designs
* Work with the software developers and engineers to discuss specific requirements with customer stakeholders to ensure solution meets expectations
* Assist with testing as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Technical field, ideally Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
* 1+ year experience or education in software development using Java, Python, Groovy or similar scripting languages
* 1+ year experience or education collecting and analyzing requirements
* Practical AI/cognitive and machine learning domain knowledge
* Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA (task tracking) and Confluence (documentation), Bitbucket (Git version control), or equivalent toolset
* DoD Secret clearance
The likely salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
