SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
Technical expertise and support needed for forensics lab management, accreditation, and expansion efforts.
* Design and build infrastructure.
* Develop procedures for installation of hardware, software, and network components.
* Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network products.
* Document requirements and implement improvements to automate repetitive forensics tasks.
* Architect a long-term backup solution focusing on cloud-based technologies.
* Ensure deliverable dates are established for all work, and are tracked and reported to Sponsor.
* Remain up-to-date on current forensics tools and techniques and ensure deployed they are deployed to best-practice standards within the forensics lab.
* Provide technical insight and assist team members in the use of the forensics lab.
* Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
* Participate in special projects as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience related to data center operations and accreditation
* Experience with multiple operating systems, including but not limited to Windows and Linux
* Experience with AWS
* Experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining hardware components (network cards, memory, storage, hard drives, etc.)
* Experience implementing, configuring, and maintainingsoftware products (operating systems, virtual platforms, applications, database, device drivers, etc.)
* Experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining network components (firewalls, routers, switches, etc.)
* Experience documenting standard installation and maintenance procedures for hardware, software, and network components
* Experience conducting scans with security risk detection and compliance tools, providing analysis of results, and suggesting mitigation plans for security problems
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of systems engineering experience
* Experience architecting, implementing, and accrediting of on-premise and cloud-based system via the Sponsor accreditation process.
