Job Description
Shall possess at least 5 years of specialized experience with Continuous Friction Measuring Equipment (CFME), A/P license with knowledge in maintenance of Boeing 727 aircraft, electrical/mechanical/fabrication experience maintaining facilities, assets and infrastructure, and constructing project related mockups, equipment, demonstrations or prototype devices as per requested by the FAA, as provided through test plans, standard engineering drawings, or other sources. This airport safety research related experience shall include specific knowledge of the airport safety research task areas. This candidate shall be self-motivated, and have demonstrated the ability to work without supervision/direction from senior project personnel, and have demonstrated the ability to produce technical written documentation to project manager personnel to support the generation of technical reports or documents. Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.
