We go out of our way to give our customers the help they need. Our Network Support team specializes in our most highly technical and sophisticated network products issues can span installation, operation, configuration, customization, performance and usage. Fully trained on the latest upgrades or new products, the team can diagnose the problem and recommend the right solution.
Key Responsibilities
The Principal Engineer will manage the planning, development, installation and operations of network systems by evaluating current and future business requirements and provide support for all customers as it relates to network design, network operations, network convergence and network security.
* Provides advanced technical support within area of expertise to clients and internal personnel on complex integration issues and is often in a lead role within larger projects
* Responsible for establishing project plans, business cases, input to budgets, schedules and documentation of work results
* Establishes network priorities as they relate to achievement of short and long-term business goals and objectives; responsible for complex testing and analysis of network facilities
* Consistently provides guidance and project direction to less-experienced staff
* Provides support in the use of protocol analyzers and network test equipment
* Contributes to the development of complex, innovative and cost-effective solutions to problems facing organization; technical expertise utilized in areas such as marketing, business acquisition and/or client support
* Provides consulting services to client and corporate technical staff for analysis and design of portions of complex integrated systems and communication solutions
* Works with leadership to ensure that all team members have adequate training for assignments
* Drives planning, design and architecture of our complex network infrastructure
* Plans and architects Lab network infrastructure solutions
Essential Requirements
* 10+ years of relevant experience and a bachelors Degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience
* Strong knowledge of appropriate networks, products and protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2, Layer 3
* Experience with Cisco Nexus (Arista EOS or Dell FTOS highly desirable as well)
* An understanding of networking services and protocols: iSCSI, PXE, DNS, DHCP, IPAM
* - In-depth knowledge of IP routing, switching and Internet technologies
- Ability to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN networks
* Strong troubleshooting skills
