XUMO is based in Irvine, California and joined the Comcast family in February of 2020. Xumo is looking for a highly motivated Product Director (Core TV, O&O;) to join our exceptional product team. This individual will be responsible for multiple facets of the product lifecycle, acting as a Product Owner and overseeing process, implementation and delivery of new product launches and existing platform enhancements. This role will focus XUMOs core application suite, including Smart TVs, OTT streaming devices, Mobile and Natively integrated product solutions and will assume responsibility for new and emerging distribution platforms while also enhancing the existing executions for longer user engagement and broader monetization.
Job Description
Core Requirements
- Develop, oversee and execute product vision, strategy and execution of next generation, natively-built video distribution applications (on platforms like LG, Vizio, Hisense, Sony, Panasonic, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Mobile, etc)
- Lead the effort to enhance and maintain the existing XUMO platform footprint across Smart TV, OTT, Web and Mobile apps. Work closely with internal and external development teams to keep projects on-track and on-budget
- Define and execute Xumos plan for International Expansion (Smart TV, OTT, Mobile apps and services)
- Lead Xumos Multicultural Initiative by adding content discovery and usability/accessibility features
- Collaborate with Advertising and Monetization teams to support the sales organizations expanding initiatives
- Key interface for communicating new business opportunities and priorities to the broader team
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, business degree or equivalent experience
- 7-9 years of Product Management experience (preferably within entertainment, technology or digital media)
- Proven experience/track record of delivery in an agile product or digital media role
- Self-motivated and highly focused with a preference for a fast-paced environment and getting things done
- Hands on and fully capable of contributing individually across all required projects
- Experience leading a team of Product & Project Managers and working closely with other intra-organization groups from Design to Engineering
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Passionate technologist
