Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Technician position located in the Corinth, MS facility. The incumbent will operate a variety of manual machines and repair a variety of salvage issues (i.e. remove broken bolts, drill & tap holes, install inserts, etc.).

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused environment to run various production type operations in the salvage area.

Operator will be responsible for learning and operating multiple machines throughout the ECB Block line. Machines include but not limited to Rottler machining, salvaging/qualifying, radial drill, washer operations, capping, hone, and block prep. Operator will also be required to identify blocks per the core sort list and sequence for assembly.

Operator will use overhead cranes and/or other lifting device equipment to move various product and parts.

Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.

Operator will work in a team environment.

Operator will be required to maintain 5s of the area as the first element of safety.

Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility within the job classification scope.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of 6 month manufacturing experience
* Prior experience machining parts and/or product
* Experience using salvaging tools such as tap guns, manual drills, torch for removal of bolts/plugs, etc.
* Experience installing inserts to repair damaged thread holes
* Prior use of overhead hoists.
* Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

* Experience operating manual drill presses, sanders and angle grinders
* Experience in MS operation salvage repairs and procedures
* Caterpillar gauge reading training or experience using dial indicators, micrometers, calipers.
* Experience reading and interpreting blueprints

Job Bid Eligibility Requirements:

* Any current agency workers applying to this position must have worked the required 90 days in order to be considered as well as meeting all requirements for the position.

Physical Requirements:

* May be required to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 25 lbs. multiple times per shift.
* Must be able to operate various hand tools and equipment.
* Must be able to operate air supplied tools to install parts.
* Work area requires stepping up to a 10 platform.
* May train on multiple shifts as needed.
* Position requires standing for extended periods of time.

Additional Information:
Work Hours: 4PM - 2AM
Work Location: Corinth, MS
Starting Hourly Rate: $15.90 with an additional $.60 night shift premium.

This is a full time position with full benefits including 401K with 6% company match.
