AT&T has an opening for a Government Lead Systems Design Engineer to support clients across Government and Industry byprovidingInternet of Things (IoT) platform development for Smart Cities, Bases, and Facilities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The Government Lead Systems Design Engineer serves as Technical Lead in developing, deploying, and managing application services and solutions for Internet of Things exclusively to Government clients. Incumbent develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems. Plans, develops and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. Reviews completion and implementation of systems additions and/or enhancements and recommends corrections in technical application and analysis. Leads junior team member
Government Lead Systems Design Engineer must possess the following abilities:
* Proven ability to lead efforts of an agile and collaborative team environment
* Ability to design, develop, test, and deploy Interface functionality
* Ability to design, develop, test, and deploy Backend functionality
* In depth knowledge and experience in solution architecture
* Ability to develop and support APIs
* Ability to perform IoT Sensor Integration
* In depth knowledge of Wireframing, Prototyping, Development, Testing, and Deployment using DevSecOps best practices
* Ability to work independently, take on commitments, communicate and cooperate to resolve issues and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and oral communications are required to interface with industry partners and customers
Required Clearance:
US Citizenship is required, however ability to be cleared up to the Top Secret level is desirable.
Required Qualifications:
The candidate must have a BS in Computer Science (or a related field) and software engineering experience focused on web application development and 7+ years of software engineering experience or 15+ years of demonstrated experience in lieu of BS degree. Required skills include CSS3, Javascript, AngularJS, Node.js, and HTML5. The applicant must have experience with RESTful APIs and associated tools (such as Postman). Familiarity with microservices architectures and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is also required. Previous experience with IoT sensor technology and protocols is preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience and willingness to provide presentations and demonstrations to customers and senior leadership is a plus. Willingness to occasionally travel (Approximately 10%)
