The Team:
One Amex is a product development platform which breaks business unit, market, and device boundaries to create cohesion, simplicity, and ubiquity across digital at American Express.

The Role:
The global enterprise role will have 5 key aspects for this Product Director:
* Build an innovative product in One Tag that allows fast deployment of tags and shared apps across American Express Web and Mobile App experiences, including building in machine learning capabilities
* Innovate on a group of shared services that track our users across American Express experiences
* Build next Gen Privacy platform capabilities that reduce the risk to American Express
* Act as subject matter expert, and Inform stakeholders of changes in the digital marketing industry that will affect 3rd party tagging and tracking
* Lead product and platform direction for all web technologies to conform with tagging standards
You will collaborate with a set of experienced product managers and act as a leader for defining how we track and tag all user experiences, which translate to both insights and compliance for American Express. You will work closely with our data, analytics, machine learning, personalization, account experiences, consumer, servicing, merchant, and commercial teams to ensure they have the enterprise capabilities.
It is imperative that you develop a high performing team and be able to manage and develop people.
We are looking for a strong leader who understands ad and martech, data, privacy and can work at the intersection of business, engineering, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set the vision for products/product areas and drive end-to-end execution with cross-functional teams
* Be an influencer to executive staff for your product line
* Technical understanding of web applications, javascript, and user tracking platforms
* Adequate attention to detail, yet ability to manage direct and indirect team members effectively via coaching, mentoring and motivation
* Provide thought-leadership in identifying and prioritizing product features as well as market adjacencies in responsible areas
* Demonstrate ownership and accountability for product roadmaps; identifying customer pain points and converting them into user stories and prioritizing them in sequence for marketing and privacy platform scrum teams
* Bias for action and follow through for all things on the product/platform
* Develop and set end to end strategy, vision, and framework; lead sunsetting platforms
* Define how the organization will gather and use data and analytics to deliver great customer experiences
* Obsess over customer needs and push to achieve these needs
* Partner across American Express teams to align and seek buy-in for the vision
* Prioritize initiatives (features) and create product roadmaps
* Establish metrics and key performance indicators to manage the business
Minimum Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, math, or related STEM discipline;
* Deep knowledge of web applications, tag management systems, and data platforms
* Experience of 8+ years as a product manager of complex technologies
* Track record of shaping business strategy and roadmaps for technical products
* Ability to work with software development teams, data engineers, and data scientists to launch and improve data lakes and software applications
* Strong written communication skills and the ability to influence other teams
* Experience defining data needs and frameworks for customer facing products
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong understanding of the payments industry and privacy regulations
* Track record of shipping enterprise grade global products
* Experience creating B2B service offerings that cater to a wide audience
* MBA plus
