The Senior AEM Developer will be working on one of our SlingTV development teams in our Denver office. They will be working in an extremely collaborative and fast-paced environment using both agile development methodologies.  They will be responsible for implementing the strategic and technical vision for AEM on the Adobe Platform team. They will seek to follow industry standards and best practices in order to implement high-quality CMS solutions. They should be comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, guiding and mentoring developers and working with business partners to deliver awesome customer experiences.

 Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

Develop all day, every day with a focus in jQuery, React, and/or other JavaScript frameworks
Create code within a test driven-development and pair programming environment
Work in fast paced, agile methodology 
Act as a technical mentor and coach to less experienced developers

Sling’s Adobe Platform team is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target across all sling.com digital properties. 

You will. . .

Serve as one of the technical leaders of our Adobe CMS solution (AEM)
Develop the component model that will serve both web and mobile solutions using Adobe Experience Manager
Work with team members in creating best-in-class web experiences through AEM
Bring industry best practices to bear in building and optimizing Sling.com and our other web properties
Configure Adobe Experience Manager for on premise solutions or cloud based solutions
Develop AEM templates and components leveraging AEM Sightly framework
Partner with business stakeholders authors and to enable efficient website management
Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse
Work with our Analytics team to advance Sling's data-driven capabilities
Implement and help implement A/B targeting scenarios

A successful Senior AEM Developer has all the following:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 5+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced AEM experience 
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, database, and caching techniques
Unix/Linux/Mac OS experience
Shell scripting (bash, sh, zsh)
Gitlab, Rally/Jira, Jenkins familiarity
