Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to provide leadership to our Safety amp; Mission Assurance Teams working with the Motor Value Stream in our Promontory, Utah offices.

Role description amp; Responsibilities:

They are expected to understand the design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections.

Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/procedures to assure compliance and will serve as liaison between Promontory S amp;MA and various other organizations including some government agencies. Work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD) from an accredited institution.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM degree
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership amp; teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
