Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst 3/Financial Analyst 4 to support the division financial planning/reporting manager in the Combat Systems and Mission Readiness Division. This position reports to the Division Financial Planning Manager and serves as the senior analyst role for the division. The position is located in northern Virginia, but considerations may be made for remote support. Roles and responsibilities of the Financial Analyst 3/Financial Analyst 4 include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Monthly, quarterly, annual forecasting, reporting, and analysis to include income statement and related activities

* Annual Operating Plan (AOP) preparation and coordination

* Quarter-End Supplemental (QES) and Year-End Supplemental (YES) deliverables

* SOX activities

* Other ad hoc assignments as required

The candidate should be well organized, schedule-driven, and have the ability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines. This position also requires excellent communication skills, as frequent interaction with senior Division, Sector, and BU/OU finance leadership teams as well as other support staff functions is necessary. We are looking for a highly motivated team player to join our dynamic, fast-paced financial planning and reporting organization.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:
* Level 3: Bachelors degree in Finance, BusinessAdministration, Accounting, or a related field with 6 years of professionalexperience or a masters degree with 4 years of related professionalexperience. An additional 4 years ofdirect experience preparing financial data and performing analysis may besubstituted in lieu of degree.

* Level 4: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field with 10 years of professional experience or a masters degree with 8 years of related professional experience. An additional 4 years of direct experience preparing financial data and performing analysis may be substituted in lieu of degree.

* Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specificallyExcel, Word, and PowerPoint

* Experience with variance reporting using thefollowing reporting tools (or similar):

* SAP

* Business Warehouse (BW)

* Precision/Cognos

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience preparing and presenting complexfinancial analysis to varying levels of management

* Experience with Hyperion Planning, HFM, Accessdatabases, and intermediate/advanced Excel skills

* A background in non-SAP and foreign entityprocesses is preferred

* Willingness and ability to travel domestically(usually locally in NoVA) lt;10% of the time
