Job Description
The Product Manager is a key member of the Nordstrom Marketing & Loyalty team, supporting the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs and delivering key features, functionality and programs for Nordstrom.
The Product Manager is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers lead discovery, plan the product roadmap, prioritize the applicable technology backlog, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment. This position directly supports the Nordstrom Marketing & Loyalty Technology team.
The Marketing Communication Preferences Product Manager will be focused on consolidating & optimizing the rules we use for communicating with our customers across all Nordstrom brands & channels. Our goal is to honor customers expectations & choices, generate robust data that can be used by various Marketing use cases, and also consider the changing landscape of privacy laws.
A day in the life
Understanding of the Product Management discipline with the following competencies, requiring minimal support:
* Collaborates with peers and leaders across the enterprise to solicit needs and achieve outcomes aligned with Nordstrom Marketing Technology priorities and goals
* Prioritize features and develop quarterly priorities and a regularly groomed backlog
* Ensures alignment on priorities and direction by partnering with manager and key stakeholders
* Measure and monitor key KPI performance
* Partners with Engineering, and Analytics on feature design & delivery across Nordstrom channels
* Owns features and services throughout the product lifecycle for cross-channel customer experiences
* Work with engineering to ensure platform efficiencies & customer objectives are maintained
* Participates in a/b test planning with analytics when appropriate
You own this if you have
* 2+ years of product management or equivalent experience with platform technology or analytics preferred.
* Bachelors degree in math, statistics, finance, economics, or related quantitative discipline is preferred
* Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities
* Ability to leverage data to gain insights and creatively solve business problems
* Self-directed ability to proactively identify business and customer needs and opportunities, overcome barriers, and formulate solutions with minimal supervision
* Technical aptitude and awareness of software development principles within data frameworks
* Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Business Strategy, Operations, Analytics, Engineering and User Experience
* Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with ability to lead meetings and drive to productive outcomes
