Tech Lead NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Will be a driving force for building solutions in Beaverton, OR. Will work on development projects related to consumer behavior, commerce, and web analytics. Will provide engineering leadership with proven track record of innovation and expertise in big data engineering. Will rely on a deep understanding and application of modern data processing technology stacks, including Spark, Hadoop ecosystem technologies, and others. Will design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders. Will design reusable components, frameworks, and libraries, including User Defined Functions. Will build in a continuous integration and test-driven development environment. Will work with performance/scalability tuning, algorithms and computational complexity. Will develop architecture and design patterns to process and store high volume data sets. Will participate in an Agile / Scrum methodology to deliver high quality software releases every two weeks through Sprints. Will review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance. Will troubleshoot production support issues post - deployment and come up with solutions as required. Will mentor and guide other software engineers within the team. Will anticipate, identify and solve issues concerning data management to improve data quality. Will clean, prepare, and optimize data at scale for ingestion and consumption. Will drive the implementation of new data management projects and restructure the current data architecture. Will implement complex automated workflows and routines using workflow scheduling tools. Will build production deployment frameworks. Will drive collaborative reviews of design, code, test plans, and dataset implementation performed by other data engineers in support of maintaining data engineering standards. Will analyze and profile data for designing scalable solutions. Will troubleshoot complex data issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues.

Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology or engineering Experience: seven years of overall progressive experience in large scale software development. Skills/Requirements: 2 years of experience: (1) Hadoop and its ecosystem; (2) AWS components and services, including EMR, S3, and Lambda; (3) Jenkins, Bitbucket/ GitHub and scheduling tools, including Airflow; (4) Java programming, Python, shell scripting, and SQL; (5) Spark and Hive; (6) file formats including JSON, Parquet, and Avro; (7) RDBMS, including Oracle; (8) data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL development; (9) working in a cross-functional team to deliver appropriate resolutions to software development issues; and (10) Snowflake.
