Overview
HarperCollins Publishers is actively seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. This entry-level position will support the Department head, and the activities of the Childrens Books Production department while learning about production and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
* Works with Department Head and Production team to organize seasonal schedules and title set up
* Coordinates e-book production while also learning about book manufacturing and working on simpler format books
* Prepares estimates for acquisition and final production
* Provides administrative support to Director; invoice coding and processing
* Responsible for sample distribution throughout the department; learn about quality controls and best practices
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
* Mac/PC experience; MS office; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Capacity to think and react gracefully in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
* Ability to multi-task and simultaneously complete multiple projects
