Sr. Industry Reporter

Decider.com, a New York Post Digital Network property, is seeking an enthusiastic senior industry reporter to work out of our New York office full-time. This new position will play an integral role in Deciders continued growth, both as a trusted news outlet and a growing international brand.

The ideal candidate will have experience breaking exclusive stories about the major players in the entertainment and streaming industry preferably someone who has developed a following at an existing news organization, with impeccable journalistic skills and well-placed sources. Experience appearing on television and podcasts as an identified entertainment industry expert is strongly preferred for this high exposure position.

This person will also be an enthusiastic fan of TV and film (with an expertise in streaming services), with strong reporting and writing skills.

He or she must be comfortable working in a deadline-oriented environment. Though pop culture news happens round the clock, this position is during weekday work hours (exact hours to be discussed).

Required Skills:

* Five to seven years of hands-on, deadline-driven online editorial experience, preferably for an entertainment publication, industry journal, or online
* A strong knowledge of TV & film landscape specifically, though not limited to, streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney+, HBO, etc. and a passion for covering it

* A wealth of reputable sources within the industry, as well as the ability to chase down leads

* Ability to juggle multiple assignments at once

* Excellenttime-management

* Eager team player
