SUMMARY:
Installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and machinery throughout plant
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a solid understanding of mechanical systems gained through experience or technical school
Two years mechanical experience
Identifying, diagnosing and correcting problems with manufacturing equipment
Ability to do heavy lifting (50 to 75 lbs.)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Repairs, adjusts, replaces or maintains machinery, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and air operated devices and mechanical equipment, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and/or manufacturer’s specifications, equipment and machinery.
Install, lubricate and clean parts, machinery and equipment.
Sets up and operates machine shop and metal working tools to fabricate or repair parts. Welds and/or fabricates metal parts as necessary.
Provides work direction to less experience employees.
Maintains work order logs, breakdown reports.
Maintains a clean work area and observes all safety rules and procedures
Performs preventive maintenance on department equipment as directed, including forklifts, and pallet jacks.
Performs other maintenance trade duties such as carpentry, drywall, painting, pipe fitting, and sheet metal work as required.
Communicates pertinent information to supervisors and other shifts.
Performs other related duties as directed or required.
Must be committed to the safety of themselves and the people around them .

Standing: Ability to stand operating equipment: 25% of day
Sitting: Ability to sit down for a meeting or work at a computer 10% of day
Moving: Ability to move throughout plant: 100% of day
Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50lbs: 50% of day
Climbing: Ability to climb machine catwalks and stairs, etc. while walking in plant 80% of day
Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to push/pull cabinet drawers, reach for documents 10% of day
Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor 50% of day
Walking: Ability to walk throughout plant on hard concrete surface 90% of day
Visual Acuity: Ability to read documents, computer screens, and SPIs 100% of day
