Job Description

Position Summary

The Vendor Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing a portfolio of critical vendors.  The ideal candidate will require little to no supervision.  The Vendor Accounting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining critical vendor relationships and communication. This position will work closely with business Operations department management supporting the water segment.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with critical vendors to obtain aging reports, missing invoices, and obtain/prepare estimates for work completed but not invoiced.
Develop workflow to monitor expedited processing and timely payment of critical vendor invoices.
Reconcile and analyze vendor statements; research and address discrepancies.
Review, understand, and summarize contracts and agreements MSAs (Master Service Agreements).
Evaluate and monitor MSA and price agreements to ensure vendors comply with contractual terms and conditions.
Prepare (in conjunction with Fixed Asset department) total estimated spend on projects.
Prepare journal entries if necessary
Assist in the coordination of the month-end close process and tasks, including period end accruals
Assist (as necessary) in the proper GL coding of invoices related to Authorization for Expenditure (“AFE’”) projects.
Creation of various status reports as well as ad-hoc and special reports for management.
Assist in the fulfillment of Audit requests from internal and external auditors.
Other duties and miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Regular attendance at the worksite is required.

Strong analytical, presentation and documentation skills are crucial.
Strong knowledge of financial/accounting modeling, budgeting, and forecasting preferred.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A self-starter with the ability to be logical, objective, take initiative and motivated.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
Flexible and adaptable to change, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
Ability to work with highly confidential information.
Must be dependable with a stable work history.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain stability under pressure and be flexible and willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary.

Experience/Education:

Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent experience required.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting theory is required.
Minimum 4 years accounting experience in corporate/public accounting.
Experience in the midstream oil, trucking/logistics, or natural gas liquids industry is a plus.

Current Oracle 11i Payable, Oracle Cloud or large ERP experience is preferred.

Travel:

Up to 10% travel required.

The Liquids segment supplies natural gas liquids to retailers, wholesalers, refiners, and petrochemical plants in the United States and Canada through its 21 terminals, as well as offers terminaling and storage services. The Retail Propane segment sells propane, distillates, and equipment and supplies to end users consisting of residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers, as well as resellers.

The Refined Products and Renewables segment markets gasoline, diesel, ethanol, and biodiesel products; and purchase and delivers refined petroleum and renewable products. This segment also purchases and markets unfinished gasoline blending components for subsequent blending into finished gasoline for third parties. NGL Energy Holdings LLC serves as the general partner of the company. The company was founded in 1940 and is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
