Position Title: Regional Sales Manager - Northeast

Reports to: Director, Sales

Location: Northeast Region

Job Summary:

The Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for developing, executing and fostering a collaborative business partnership between the Commercial Business Unit and the regional field distribution base that delivers volume, share and profit objectives for the company across multiple product lines. The role is responsible for delivering financial and distribution annual objectives across the book of business. This role will build, manage and execute joint business plans with the customer and work internally with cross functional team members to create and execute robust plans. The Regional Manager will be responsible for managing, coaching, developing, and driving accountability and sales growth with a team of sales reps in the region.

Key responsibilities:

* Deliver top line invoice and trade sales / budget targets and operating income metrics across 3 businesses, Rubbermaid Commercial, Rubbermaid, and Quickie
* Develop and execute a by customer/ by category joint business plan that delivers on customer(s) and company annual objectives
* Works with the Commercial Business Unit demand planning and customer supply chain team to develop and manage accurate sales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy
* Lead process and build strategy for managing customer spend and customer programs in collaboration with marketing and finance
* Negotiate and manage funds to create customer and company value by consistently measuring results and identifying opportunities for improvement
* Build excellent customer relationships with buyers / merchants and cross functional customer team members (Planners, Supply Chain, etc)
* Lead and communicate important initiatives and customer needs in order to deliver collaborative objectives
* Leverage Commercial brands and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer, end user, and Commercial targets
* Work with marketing to implement methods that assist our customers in effectively and creatively winning with their customers, end-users and purchasers
* Lead and communicate important initiatives and customer needs in order to deliver collaborative objectives
* Monitor the competitors' brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand trends and opportunities and communicate to appropriate sales, channel and category management teams
* Effectively works across all functions internally to drive the best results
* Effectively lead a team of sales reps by instilling accountability and a mindset of delivering results

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
* 10+ years sales and/or channel management experience
* Strong leader with successful experience leading people and teams for results
* Experience selling general merchandise or consumer products goods
* Strong project management skills, particularly with organization and prioritization of key initiatives
* Ability to thrive and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner
* Exemplary attention to detail
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results
* Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
* Robust experience and strengths in interpreting and understanding customer provided data such as POS, COGS etc
* Ability to review promotional recaps/analysis, determine conclusions and drive future business decisions from them data and developing a plan to re-act to the identified insights.
* Conflict Management/Composure with customers and internally within the company
* Advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
* 40% - 50% Travel
