We are looking for a passionate and experienced technical leader to be a key member of the Microsoft for Startups leadership team to drive the strategy around this reinvention.
As Senior Director of Technical/Product Startup Programs, you will be an expert on both customer pain points for founders and the desired business outcomes they are seeking. You will lead a global team of former startup CTOs to help our startups drive successful customer production deployments with our cutting edge set of technologies. You will lead a team of engineers who are building a product to help every founder accelerate their business journey with Microsoft. You will build a new team focused on working with internal product teams to advocate for startup friendly functionality and manage technical feedback loops to create and nurture an ecosystem of startups building with Microsoft.
* Set the strategy for Microsoft's technical engagements with startups around the world.
* Lead and manage a team of former startup CTOs working with our portfolio of companies on technical depth engagements to ensure successful production deployments.
* Lead an engineering team building a product from the ground up; advise on technical architecture decisions to ensure that the product is built for global scale.
* Work closely with the startup product team to understand the roadmap and incorporate that into our overall technology strategy.
* Ensure the Microsoft for Startups Program has a strong technical value proposition that fuels product adoption.
* Work with startups to deeply understand the technical founder's needs and advocate for startup specific features with internal Microsoft product groups.
* Develop a structured program to manage technical feedback loops between startups and internal Microsoft product groups.
* Experience working with a cloud system such as Azure or AWS.
* Experience with multiple startups in senior technical leadership positions
* Track record of leading high performing engineering teams
* 10+ years professional experience in software, 5+ years of engineering leadership.
* Experience leading and driving multiple complex projects spanning different business and disciplines with a laser sharp customer-focus.
* Track record for collaboration - we're looking for a team player who believes the best outcomes are derived from diverse experiences and points of view.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or IT related technical discipline
