The Vice President of Cyber Defense key role is to design, maintain, and update the necessary cybersecurity processes and procedures that support a wide variety of business production and product development operations across the MGMRI organization. The incumbent will act as primary cybersecurity resource to multiple organization groups within the company. Reporting to CISO, the VP of Cyber Defense will participate as needed in cyber security incident response action and prepares action reports chronicling the incident and its remediation along with recommendations to prevent re-occurrence of this and similar incidents.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design and implement cyber security processes and procedures to protect MGMRI.
* Conduct advanced computer and network investigation functions relating to various forms of electronic fraud, identity theft, ecommerce fraud, computer intrusion, theft of information, denial of service, multi-national organized electronic criminal groups, as well as financial fraud investigations.
* Maintain an intimate knowledge of current and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.
* Oversee prioritization of analysis based on risks associated with each threat and working with the appropriate teams internally to ensure related communications are in line with company best practice and recommendations.
* Act as the primary cyber security subject matter expert and provide advise when needed.
* Oversee after action analyses to determine cause and possible mitigation measure for security events.
* Notification of internal and/or external teams according to agreed alert priorities and escalation trees.
* Perform other job-related duties as requested.
REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronic engineering, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Six (6)+ years of experience working in or with cyber security teams of similar size and mission to MGMRI.
PREFERRED:
* Masters degree in computer science, electronic engineering, business administration or related field.
* 10+ years of experience working in or with cyber teams.
* 4+ years of experience managing cyber teams.
* CISSP.
* Demonstrable track-record of successfully handling Security Events, Alerts, Incidents and Threats.
* Familiarity or direct experience in legal and/or compliance requirements related to MGMRI cyber security programs and postures.
* Any other Certification on SANs, GIAC, ISC2 , or ISACA.
* GCIH.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
* Nevada Gaming License
* Detroit Gaming License.
* At least one relevant cyber security professional certification such as CISSP, GIAC, IAS2 or ISACA.
