Job Description
The Pneumococcal Franchise is positioned for market leadership over the course of this decade and will be a key growth driver for our company during this time. Our Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine will launch with the pediatric indication within the next 2 years and is our first entry into the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) Pediatric market. The Director of Global Marketing is a key role reporting to the Pneumococcal Pediatric Strategy Lead. This person will be responsible for:
* Developing public and private marketing strategies and launch readiness plans consistent with the overall brand strategy for Pediatric and Pneumococcal Franchise strategic plan
* Developing and deploying product positioning, clear differentiation strategies, brand promotion messaging, tools and solutions fully leveraging digital and data analytics
* Ensuring strong alignment, collaboration and execution of the brand strategy across the extended cross-functional matrix team: Medical Affairs, Policy, Market Access, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Communications etc., and through coordination of marketing processes and deliverables (Long Range Operating Plan [LROP], Profit Plan, Franchise book)
* Partnering in close collaboration with Managing Directors [MDs], local market Business Unit Directors [BUDs] and Marketing leaders across key markets and with Regional Commercial Leads in support of launch excellence
* Lead coordination of regulatory approval with product availability and launch timing with global, regional and country level teams.
* Ensuring the development and execution of a comprehensive market access strategy, including pricing guidance, tender strategies and launch sequence.
* Lead and coordinate development of evidence-based medical-marketing content
* Lead external agency management
* Proactive collaboration with all members of the Pneumococcal Vaccines enterprise cross functional team and embraces Agile ways of working, learning agility and collaboration technology.
Education Minimum Requirement:
* Required: Bachelors degree
* Preferred: MBA
Required Experience and Skills:
* Minimum of 5 years local, regional or global marketing and product management experience
* Ability to master complex therapeutic area concepts and develop medical-marketing content
* Ability to think and approach complex problems in a strategic and structured way
* Strong commercial and financial acumen
* Ability to collaborate across the organization divisions and functions
* Strong project management skills
* Proven ability to anticipate and rapidly respond to market and competitive changes in developing and executing brand strategies
Preferred Experience and Skills:
* Vaccine marketing and brand management experience at the local, regional or global level.
* Pneumococcal vaccines experience a plus
* Management Consulting experience a plus
* Ability to identify creative approaches to market/customer understanding
* Intellectual curiosity about all aspects of our customers and business with a strong desire to persist in finding opportunities to maximize our business
* Demonstrated ability to seamlessly work with data (financial, scientific data, etc.)
* High aptitude for innovation and creative thinking
* Entrepreneurial mindset focused on achieving goals in rapid and cost-efficient manner
* Digital marketing experience
