What does this role look like?
- Architect and design radio frequency systems and circuitry
- Design and develop RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications
- Prepare test methods and specifications; analyze and test RF hardware
- Provide inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and support manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase
- Develop RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment
- Perform link analysis and optimization
- Develop and allocate RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements
- Identify and track RF technical performance measurements (TPMs)
- Perform RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis
- Support Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related technical/engineering discipline from an accredited college/university. This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
MATLAB, Mathcad and Mentor Graphics HyperLynx proficiencies. Working knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog behavioral model generation and verification, design synthesis, place and route, worst case timing analysis and simulation, and design for test. Knowledge of microwave-photonics. Knowledge and proficiency with RF, microwave, and communications theory and hardware including passive circuits, amplifiers, and modulation/demodulation. Knowledge of design, characterization and modeling of circuits using s parameters, circuit integration and test using bench-top microwave equipment including spectrum and network analyzers. Working proficiency with RF circuit analysis tools such as Agilent ADS, Sonnet and/or AWR Microwave Office. Working proficiency with analog circuit analysis tools such iCaps, Spice, or Saber. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
