Job Description
Raleigh General Hospital
Under medical supervision, may be required to deliver respiratory care services to patients in all areas of the hospital.
Carries out assigned duties and responsibilities according to hospital polices and procedures as approved by the Director
Reviews existing clinical data, collects additional clinical data, and makes recommendations based on obtaining additional pertinent data.
Assembles and checks all equipment used in providing respiratory care.
Performs clinical and technical duties according to policy and procedures.
Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team.
Demonstrates concern for patient welfare by performing activities other than primary care needs.
Provides age appropriate care to pediatric through geriatric patient population.
Conducts and modifies prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to achieve one or more specific objectives.
Reports to: Respiratory Care Supervisor
FLSA: Non-exempt

Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Associates degree in Respiratory Care Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
