This position is responsible for the registration of outpatients, ER patients, and admissions. Incumbent must be able to quickly incorporate various insurance and policy variances. This position is responsible for contacting the physicians offices and third party payers to ensure all necessary demographic information as well as all insurance information has been confirmed as accurate, and that all necessary insurance pre - authorizations and pre - certifications have been acquired. This position is also responsible for collecting up-front money due to hospital from patient.

Job Requirements

HighSchool Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to use computers (email,spreadsheets, presentations, etc.).Customer services skills. Extreme attentionto detail. Excellent verbal, written, and intrapersonal communication skills. Proficientin Microsoft Office applications including excel, word, powerpoint, outlook,etc. Knowledge of and ability to work with various office equipment (i.e. fax,computer, copier,etc.).

Preferred: 1 yearprofessional experience. Office experience in a healthcare environment. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
