We want you on our team...Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, an 18 -minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Care/Pre-OP/Post-Op Department. This is a full-time day shift position where you will provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
* Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment
* Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
* Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
* Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
* Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
* Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
* Assesses and cares for the surgical patient throughout the perioperative process by performing preadmission testing, preparing the patient day of surgery and providing car for Phase I, Phase II, and Extended Level of Care after surgery
* Requires critical thinking skills, detail oriented with decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be flexible with work location assignments
Job Requirements
Education:
* Associate's Degree Nursing, required
* Bachelor's Degree Nursing, preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
* Valid current Kentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure
* Basic Life Support (BLS), required- American Heart Assoc
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
