UP Health System - Portage

UP Health System - Portage is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our regional marketing team. You will be an integral part of the implementation of marketing plans and community engagement to optimize brand awareness, promote hospital services, and generate new patient volume.

This position is responsible for supporting a wide variety of marketing and communications initiatives for UPHS Portage, UPHS Marquette, and UPHS Bell. This includes the development of print materials, content development, internal communications, updating web and social media platforms, community events, and media relations. The incumbent is comfortable handling multiple projects in a very fast paced environment. The position is primarily based out of Hancock with some travel to UPHS locations throughout the Upper Peninsula.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, advertising, design or related field

Excellent written, verbal, communication and technological skills.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Solid computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Web Applications

Position Details:

1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
