As a member of the Non Production Purchasing team, the Manager, Non Production Purchasing, IT will be responsible for the support and deployment of global sourcing and negotiation strategies ensuring cross functional collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders to achieve optimal solutions and global standardization in the procurement of software, hardware, services and consumables required for global IT activities.
THE ROLE:
* Responsible for all areas of focus and the leadership of resources across functions and across the globe associated with the procurement activities in this category.
* Operate as lead negotiator in high level, high value negotitions with major global providers.
* Comprehend complex contracts and identify and present key aspects for clarity and focus.
* Support the transformation of the function into a centralized and strategic sourcing center-of-excellence with strong process controls and highly talented purchasing professionals at every level.
* Support an empowered, engaged, and high performing team of purchasing professionals at every level and developing people through coaching and mentoring to inspire and achieve results.
* Support, develop and execute global and regional strategies aligning with operational business objectives with cross functional collaboration focused on holistic global / region-wide long term cost structure management, vendor consolidation, and cost saving solutions.
* Liaise and work collaboratively with cross functional partners and executive leadership team to assess business needs and execute against strategy, spend, and savings objectives.
* Achieve IT spend related cost savings, cost avoidance, and free cash flow improvement targets for each segment each quarter focusing on strategic year-over-year savings and development of roadmap ideas.
* Lead purchasing efforts for sourcing strategy, supplier consolidation, supplier identification, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, savings idea generation, savings performance, and ongoing performance management.
* Lead cross functional teams to help strategize and manage high spend / high risk commodities / categories.
* Increase spend under management, enforce purchasing processes, and Coupa system compliance for all bidding and sourcing activities with both internal business partners and external suppliers.
* Cultivate professional relationships with global and regional leadership teams.
* Advocate and reinforce Non Production Purchasing value proposition and lead the team like a well-run professional services business.
* Ensure compliance to global and regional procedures, policies, and regulations.
* Support internal and external quality, SOX, FOA, and compliance audits.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or related field is preferred.
* 5-7 years progressive purchasing and leadership exierience in IT software, hardware, services and consumables, preferably in an automotive manufacturing organization
* Direct experience as lead negotiator in high level, high value negotiations with major global providers
* In-depth knowledge of sourcing and purchasing principles and best practices with strong process and controls knowledge and execution.
* Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously managing to dynamic needs and tight deadlines.
* Change management skills and self awareness to take varying approaches with a dynamic set of stakeholders.
* Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to consider non-traditional approaches as the function, our needs, and our business evolves.
* Strong record of achievement in continuous achievement of cost savings targets.
